Mission Statement

 

Facilities Operations is responsible for the execution and coordination of various services relating to the University's physical plant, grounds and related infrastructure with the goal of providing an environment that promotes quality education in a safe setting.

The Operations Division handles day-to-day maintenance, custodial and general upkeep of facilities at the Storrs campus and all regional campuses. This includes repairs to buildings and building systems, minor renovation projects, operation of utilities systems (water, heat, steam, cogeneration, and sewage treatment), sanitation and recycling, groundskeeping and related activities.
