Work Planning & Management Group

Strategically, the team implements customer service level agreements, champions regular stakeholder outreach and partnerships, collaborates with Planning Architectural & Engineering Services (PAES) and implements continuous improvements of workflow by means of technology enhancements, report development, and process improvements.  The depth of this team allows for knowledgeable and technically-sound strategic decisions in the Facilities Operations and Building Services department.

UConn’s Work Planning and Management Group’s responsibilities include:

  • 24/7/365 University-wide work order control center for emergency and non-emergency repairs & maintenance
  • University-wide financial management and implementation of environmentally hazardous material testing, monitoring, abatement and restoration programs
  • Multimillion dollar capital renewal program planning, prioritization, scheduling and project execution
  • Technical oversight for project development, operational improvements and project management
  • Asset management, criticality evaluation, component data management & operational procedure optimization
  • Logistical, contract, and procurement support for the trade shops and renewal projects
  • Planning, advancement, and scheduling of the Preventive Maintenance Program
