Facilities Operations

Transportation Services is responsible for ensuring reasonably convenient and safe transportation and parking options are available to the campus community.  The group ensures that the university’s campuses remain highly accessible and “visitor-friendly” places.  Transportation Services provides reliable public transit services to the UConn community, maximizing the efficiencies of the university’s transportation and parking systems.

Transportation Services engages in district, project, regional and master planning efforts in order to provide the funds, policies, programs, and infrastructure needed to meet the University’s future transportation needs.  Walking, biking, and other alternative transportation options are recognized elements of a successful university transportation strategy and effective communication is essential to the efficient provision of services and, ultimately, customer satisfaction.
