Operational Engineering
The Operational Engineering Group provides mechanical engineering support for Facilities Operations. These functions include the Energy Management Systems, HVAC, and Plumbing Shops, at the Storrs Campus, and support of all Regional Campus Facilities Operations mechanical needs. The Operational Engineering Group also assists with engineering solutions associated with energy conservation and metering work performed by the Facilities Energy Services Group. This group also performs in-house mechanical engineering design work, cost estimating, and construction administration support for Facilities Operations capital renewal or replacement projects and programmatic upgrades.
