HVAC
The HVAC department installs, maintains and repairs Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems in all academic, research, residence and dining facilities as well as numerous other University owned properties. The University of Connecticut has a wide array of systems whose care and operational readiness are the responsibility of a dedicated group of HVAC technicians. These systems include steam and hydronic heat, associated pumps, piping and valves, chillers, chilled water distribution, heat exchangers, air handlers, refrigeration equipment, controls, air compressors and vacuum pumps. Their mission is to provide a safe, comfortable environment in which the University community can successfully work, teach, live and conduct research.
