Operations & Distribution
The Distribution Group consists of the Central Warehouse as well as Campus and Student Mail Services. The Central Warehouse is staffed to accommodate University material movement needs, processing and distribution of laboratory chemicals, as well as various furniture rental drop-offs and pick-ups. The warehouse provides substantial storage capacity for “customer-owned” material including document storage for items dictated by statute and/or University policy.
Campus and Student Mail Services handles receiving and distribution of all mail and packages for students residing on-campus. Mail is received at the Central Warehouse, sorted, and distributed to seven remote mail rooms servicing each of the residential complexes. Mail destined for faculty and staff is also received and sorted at the Central Warehouse and subsequently delivered to departmental mail collection areas located in academic and administrative buildings throughout the campus.
